BABY INFO:
The baby is about 16.75 inches long and weighs about 3.75 pounds.
I am considered either 7 months or 8 months pregnant. The reason why a lot of pregnant women tell you how many weeks they are (instead on months) is because there are different ways to calculate months. If you calculate months based on 4 weeks = 1 month, then I am 8 months along. But if you are counting actual calendar months, I am a little over 7 months.
I remember when I was 20 weeks along, I would say I was in my 5th month. But now at 32 weeks, if I say I’m in my 8th month, then people assume I am due next month. Since most non-pregnant people are used to thinking about a pregnancy being 9 months long, I now say I’m 7 months, since I am due in about 2 more months. Anyway, I’m in my last trimester and baby will be here soon!
PRENATAL CARE:
I received my flu shot. This was actually my first time getting one since I’m one of those that “never get sick.” But since I’m pregnant, I think it is safer to just get the shot this year.
Stats from 31-week prenatal visit last Wednesday:
Fundal Height: on track (didn’t give me a number)
Weight: 138.8 lbs
Blood Pressure: 106/70
I’ll start going in every 2 weeks now. D-day is getting close!
SIGNS/SYMPTOMS:
Nothing, other than my growing belly.
PURCHASES/GIFTS:
My sister-in-law, who has 3 kids all under the age of 5, gave us 3 huge bags of clothes and a bunch of other baby items. I think we are set for an entire year! But now we are at a total loss on where to store everything!
I must have been in a mommy mood because I bought some onesie stickers from an etsy seller (baby fables):
MOOD:
There was a day last week when I felt weepy and sensitive for no reason. Like when somebody honked at me, I wanted to cry. So silly and kind of funny.
K and I went down to San Diego this weekend and had a lot of fun walking around the Gaslamp looking at all the crazy college kids dressed up for halloween. We were there for a work related conference, but turned it into in mini get-away. We were reminded that these quick get-aways will be more difficult with a baby, so we tried to have an extra relaxing time.
RANDOM FOOD:
No pics this week!

No weird changes to report…just happily growing!

My belly shape changes based on the position of the baby. Sometimes it feel like it is transverse, other times, I can feel its little butt near the top of my belly!

WOWZA! You look adorable!
thanks!! my belly looks much more full in real life!
Oh, I’m so jealous of how TINY you are!!!! But more than that, I really like your naturally long, lean physique. I’m just the opposite: short and stumpy. So glad to hear you got hand-me-downs. I did, too, and I think it’s wonderful because it’s green, saves you money, and you don’t waste. Love reading about your progression and really look forward to meeting your little one!!!
You’re too kind! I do have a long torso, so I think that has helped immensely with the “comfort” level of this pregnancy.
And I completely agree about hand-me-downs! I’m not much of a “baby stuff” shopper (especially clothes), so I definitely appreciate it!
